I am a Catholic deacon of the Archdiocese of Omaha, Nebraska. My wife Erika and I reside in Bellevue, NE.
I work as the Stewardship & Development Director for St. Gerald Church & School in Ralston, NE.
- Stewardship is the way of life that recognizes the spiritual reality that all we “have” is put in our temporary care by the Lord, the creator of everything. We care for all that we have in our life (relationships, resources, abilities) in a way that reflects our discipleship of Jesus Christ.
- Development is the application of verified business practices to provide resources for worthy needs such as the Church, higher education or charitable causes. Development is the “connecting” of resources and recipients.
My interests are manifold and my blog reflects that. Topics of theology, cuisine, travel, catechetics and homiletics are the dominant themes on deaconchris.com.
Thanks for visiting – may God richly bless you and yours.
Deacon Chris, I think this is a great website. I live in St. Petersburg, Florida and I am currently just starting my formation to the deaconate. I have to give a talk on the Theology of the Deacon in particularily focusing on the Word. Do you have any suggestions? I think I know where I want to go with this talk but it is always good to bounch ideas you know. Thanks Mike
